There are many reasons that lead to the development of chronic swelling…
Chronic swelling is defined as an inflammation of the tissue which is resistant to full recovery. It often reduces with rest, but but increases with activity, or prolonged standing or sitting.
In this presentation, we’ll examine a few common reasons that contribute to chronic swelling that we often see at our clinic: from varicose veins, to an inflammation fat disorder called lipoedema, to genetic or cancer-related lymphoedema. We will address what influences them to behave better or worse, what signs you should look for, and when you should seek professional attention.
