Happy Year of the Tiger to you all! This year also marks the 25th Anniversary of our practice, serving the Lymphoedema community, and soothing chronic swelling disorders!
At times, it's been hard to explain to new patients what "oedema management" is, and why it’s important. How do we explain something that, in the early stages, can easily be mistaken for any number of things. How can we let them know how urgent it is (or could be)? So often the shortest and most compelling way we can explain it is, “Do you know about those with elephant arms and legs? That’s Stage 3 Lymphoedema…” Then everyone goes, “Aah!”, the light goes on, and they instantly understand the gravity of the situation.
I know you all out there have very little support. Our schedule is so busy that you find it really hard to book a slot to see me or my therapists. And so we want to extend a new service at a discount this year, to give a little something back, and as a way to thank you all for your loving support and encouragement.
We’re offering a treatment with the Lympha Press Pump Machine at 25% off for $82.50 (normally $110–$120).
Lympha Press is a form of pneumatic compression therapy that helps to reduce swelling and promote lymph drainage and blood flow to affected areas. It’s customizable to each person’s condition, and we can treat the legs, trunk, abdomen and arms together or separately. It's ideal for those patients with early stage lymphoedema, or those with less serious symptoms (water retention, or varicose veins, for instance). Additionally, it can ensure progress and boost recovery between regular manual lymph drainage (MLD) sessions. The treatment lasts for 60 minutes, and takes place at the Masso clinic.
More details about LymphaPress can be found here.
Call us today (at +65 9002 7937) to set up your appointment. We're also happy to answer any questions you have, and to discuss how it can fit in as part of your current treatment plan.
Suitability
Please note that treatment will be facilitated by our machine and you will be independent after the set up is done. Bookings will be subject to assessment and appropriate pressure settings. Patients who are contra-indicated will be denied the bookings for your own safety, and we will recommend an alternate course of treatment.
Independent treatment with the Lympha Press pump machine is suitable for those with the following conditions:
Lipedema
Primary lymphoedema
Early stage lymphoedema (non-doughy, non-pitting)
Fibrotic or doughy lymphoedema stage patients will need to ensure pre- and post-pump self-drainage and lymph node clearance, or book a session of manual therapy after two Lympha Press sessions. Please call us if you're unsure if you qualify.
Suitable for those with water retention, but otherwise generally well.
Suitable for individuals with varicose veins oedema
Suitable for those waiting for a schedule to open up, but not coping well with their swelling—this treatment will help!
Booking & Payment
Fee is at the current special price of $82.50 for a 60 minute treatment (normally $110–$120).
Full payment must be made at the time of your booking to confirm your time slot.
Payment can be transferable if you need to change your schedule.
Payment will be forfeited if you are a no-show, or cancel less than 12 hours before your time slot (as it deprives other patients a chance to take over the slot).
You are required to self bandage or wear your compression garment immediately after the session (to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment).
After setup, there will be no therapist in attendance during the treatment. However, we will of course keep watch over you, and make it easy to call for our attention if necessary.
Offer is valid for all patients who are on this program from 7th February 2022 until the end of the year (31st December 2022) to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! We will keep you on this price as long as you prepay your session at the time of booking, even into the next year.
Offer is valid for all our new and current patients—this means you'll receive a discount from your current fee, because we know everything has gone up in price and we want to help!
